Job summary

Saab, Inc. in West Lafayette, IN, is seeking Installation Assemblers to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk. You will assemble aircraft structures, train teammates, and contribute to a state-of-the-art production system.

Paid on-site training is provided through the Aerospace installation training academy. You will work with precision using hand tools, perform tests, and support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience required.
• Experience delivering high quality in compliance with ISO/AS9100 standards is a plus.
• Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings and specifications in written and digital format.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft fuselage components following standardized procedures to deliver 100% quality.
• Train new team members and transfer knowledge.
• Support daily continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale.
• Operate powered hand-tools, including angular drilling.
• Perform precision installation of aircraft systems, landing gear, and harnesses in a controlled environment.
• Ability to perform functional and pressure testing of installed systems.
