Job summary

Saab, an aerospace manufacturing leader in West Lafayette, IN, seeks 3rd shift Structural Assemblers to build the U.S. Air Force T-7A Red Hawk aft fuselage. Roles include assembling structures, training teammates, and contributing to a state-of-the-art production system.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant assembly or hand tool experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
• Follow standardized procedures to maintain quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft structure per procedures to meet quality standards.
• Train new team members and share knowledge.
• Identify safety, quality, cost, delivery improvements.
• Perform functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Support sign-off per specifications.
