Job summary

Jobtailor in Boston, MA is seeking a detail-oriented freight forwarding coordinator to review and process shipment transactions, provide proactive customer service, and establish procedures for import and export processes. You will handle high-volume transactions and monitor Shipper Export Declarations using CargoWise One and MS Office.

A minimum of three years in a client-facing role, strong geography knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a role involving extensive client contact required.
• Familiarity with domestic and international geography including countries and major cities.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to be highly productive while keeping cool under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Preferred: Freight Forwarding experience.
• Prior use of CargoWise One is a definite plus.
• Computer skills, including frequent prior use of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Review and process shipment transactions for one or more major accounts.
• Provide excellent, proactive, and timely customer service.
• Establish detailed profiles and procedures for import and export processes.
• Receive, review, and process high-volume or complex transactions.
• Check shipments in the warehouse as needed.
• Create quotations for individual shipments.
• Review and monitor all Shipper Export Declaration rejections.
