Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring for a shipping coordinator role in Illinois. The candidate will review and process shipment transactions for major accounts, serve as the primary contact on contracts, and ensure proactive customer service.

The position emphasizes accurate profiling of import/export processes and handling high-volume transactions. Ideal candidates bring at least three years of client-facing experience, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with freight forwarding.

Qualifications

Three years of experience in a role involving extensive client contact.
Familiarity with domestic and international geography including countries and major cities.
Extreme attention to detail.
Ability to be highly productive while keeping cool under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Freight Forwarding experience preferred.
Prior use of CargoWise One is a definite plus.
Computer skills, including frequent prior use of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

Review and process shipment transactions, including all related activities for one or more major accounts.
Provide excellent, proactive, and timely customer service.
Serve as the primary contact for all parties concerning assigned account contracts.
Promote positive relationships by ensuring excellent, timely, and proactive customer service at all times.
Establish detailed profiles and procedures that properly represent import and export processes.
Process high-volume and/or complex import and export transactions for clients.
