Job summary

Beehive Industries in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking an NDI Technician - FPI Level I to perform fluorescent penetrant inspections on aerospace hardware in accordance with NAS 410 and Beehive's NDT practices. The role supports parts preparation, process checks, documentation, and compliance under Level II/III guidance.

The candidate will maintain inspection traceability, operate within safety and environmental controls, and contribute to internal and customer audits while supporting manufacturing

Qualifications

• Must meet NAS 410 Level I training and Beehive's written NDT practice.
• 16 hours of formal PT training and 130 hours of applicable PT experience as per NAS 410.
• Hands-on aerospace/precision manufacturing inspection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI/PT) processing per approved instructions and customer requirements.
• Prepare parts, apply penetrant, dwell, developer, inspect, and post-clean per parameters.
• Perform equipment checks and identify upscale out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Document inspection results and maintain traceability in quality systems.
• Interpret and evaluate products for acceptance under supervision when required.
• Maintain FPI materials, equipment, and work areas for safe, compliant inspections.
• Follow PPE, chemical handling, UV-A exposure, and EHS controls.
• Support audits with accurate records and adherence to processes.
