Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a fluids design engineer for the Lunar Transfer Stage gas subsystem. You will manage design, interfaces, and analysis across the full life cycle from concept to launch and operation in space.

We value hands-on experience with fluid systems, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, and 3D CAD (Creo). You'll size components, work with suppliers, and manage sub-assembly cost and schedule within the Lunar Permanence unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in aerospace fluid or mechanical systems design.
• Hands-on experience building and testing mechanical assemblies or pressurized components.
• Experience with CAD and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience performing flow/pressure calculations and thermal/structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Fluids sub-assembly design and development, CAD design, trade studies, procurement, and testing data analysis.
• Interpreting and generating P&IDs using AutoCAD.
• Develop and maintain test plans for subsystems and components.
• Define interfaces between fluid systems and other subsystems.
• Design and analyze components for fluid, thermal, and structural applications.
• Verify components to company standards and support procurement.
