Job summary

Beyond New Horizons is seeking a Facility Modeling & Analysis Engineer to support AEDC at Arnold AFB, TN. The role focuses on developing physics-based models, performing facility simulations, and delivering actionable analysis for ground testing of air and space vehicles.

Qualifications

• S. degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related scientific discipline with 2+ years of post-degree experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Open to internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

• Support development of Matlab/Simulink physics-based models of AEDC facilities and test articles.
• Evaluate and apply standard engineering methods with independent judgment.
• Prepare, interpret, and review multi-disciplinary computations and hardware-in-the-loop systems.
• Apply tools to support capital improvement and maintenance projects.
• Identify deficiencies in simulations and implement improvements.
• Develop new simulations and expand existing capabilities for future needs.
• Draft and present results to technical and high-level audiences.
• Integrate system models into hardware-in-the-loop architectures and troubleshoot data transfers.
