Job summary

Beyond New Horizons is seeking a Facility Tech/Foreign Assessment Analyst I to join the Engineering Solutions team at Arnold AFB, TN. You will analyze ground test facilities, produce engineering calculations, and brief senior leadership on findings. The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 5 years of experience and programming exposure (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, or VBA).

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited school with 5 years of experience, incl. at least 1 year programming.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance and access to AEDC network.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to Air Force security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess aerospace ground test techniques and technologies with engineering calculations and reports.
• Apply fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer knowledge to solve problems.
• Identify test facility enhancements to extend capability, reliability and availability.
• Synthesize information across disciplines to produce baseline capabilities and threat assessments.
• Produce reports and briefings for customers and leadership; travel may be required.
