Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Painter to preserve and enhance the interior and exterior appearance of a large aerospace manufacturing facility in Windsor, CT. The role emphasizes paint, drywall repair, surface prep, and general upkeep to maintain a high-quality finish across the site.

Ideal candidates have paint and patch experience, basic carpentry skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering a polished, professional workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Physically capable to perform tasks (lift 50 lbs+, stand, climb ladders).
• Basic math and ability to read work orders and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment.
• Paint and patch, assemble furniture, install cabinets and shelving, light carpentry.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and track completion.
• Support energy management by keeping systems efficient.
• Inspect installations for code compliance and safety.
• Communicate clearly with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
