Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Painter/Carpenter to maintain and repair multiple commercial facilities. You will perform painting, patching, finishing, and general structural upkeep, while collaborating with stakeholders on work orders and drawings.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and up to 2 years of related experience. The role requires physical fitness and basic math skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; authorization to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of the building's structure and grounds.
• Perform assigned repairs and emergency preventative maintenance. Complete maintenance repair records as required.
• Perform interior preparation, painting, touch-up, and finishing of areas in need of commercial-level painting.
• Work under close supervision, utilize several trade skills such as patching, painting, and finishing.
• Use necessary tools and equipment to apply varnish, polyurethane, primer paint, and other coatings.
• Repair and remodel imperfections; mask, prepare, and protect surfaces.
• Build, dismantle, and repair structures, walls, roofs, glass, siding, scaffolding or facia.
