Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an HVAC Technician (Facilities) to maintain and repair HVAC systems across its facilities, including air handlers, cooling towers, and piping. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and collaborate with engineers to keep systems at peak performance.

You must hold EPA 608 and have 1+ year related experience. The role requires ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral; shifts include early morning schedules with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• EPA 608 Universal certificate.
• 1+ years of professional experience working with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment on facilities systems including air handlers, chilled water, condenser pumps, cooling towers, valves, filters, boilers etc.
• Complete preventative maintenance schedule on facility and launch associated HVAC systems
• Collaborate with engineering and managers to maintain systems in peak operating condition
• Follow all regulations and appropriate SpaceX procedures including safety policies and standards per OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, NFPA, ASME, NEC
• Perform ductwork modifications and various repairs
• Perform brazing, soldering, evacuation & charging of refrigerants
• Perform water piping and insulation modifications and repairs
• Assist with maintenance of compressed air and industrial door systems
