Job summary

SpaceX Hawthorne, CA is seeking an HVAC Technician (Facilities) for 1st shift to design, build, activate and maintain advanced manufacturing facilities. You will work with infrastructure engineers and technicians to support goals and drive real global impact in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years of HVAC/mechanical experience, a high school diploma, and certifications in HVAC/mechanical systems. Valid CA driver’s license, and flexibility for overtime and shift hours are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional experience with HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems.
• Technical certification or journeyman/master in HVAC/mechanical/plumbing/electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC and related facilities systems to avoid unplanned downtime.
• Repair HVAC support equipment such as air handlers, chilled water systems, pumps, cooling towers.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints for assembly and repair.
• Perform ductwork, brazing, soldering, and refrigerant handling as required.
• Operate safety-compliant, efficient mechanical systems with attention to detail.
