Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Facilities Technician, Mechanical (Starlink) to maintain and service critical site equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. You will collaborate with engineers and operations teams to prevent unplanned downtime and ensure safe, compliant operations across facilities.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, ability to read blueprints, perform ductwork, and operate lifts and basic power tools. Training on first shift with rotating schedules may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• 3+ years of professional experience with HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers to maintain systems in peak operating condition and develop/update detailed work instructions.
• Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment on facilities systems including air handlers, chilled water, condenser pumps, cooling towers, valves, filters.
• Perform ductwork modifications, brazing, soldering, evacuation & charging of various refrigerants, water piping, insulation modifications and repairs.
• Assemble, install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, heating, water, and drainage systems.
• Perform hands-on shop work and/or on-site disassembly, inspection, testing, and restoration of pumps and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure work and used materials comply with manufacturer specifications.
• Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly as required.
• Perform failure assessments and day-to-day safety inspections with recommendations to supervisor.
