Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an HVAC Technician (Facilities) for the 3rd shift to maintain and repair critical HVAC systems across our facilities at Cape Canaveral. You will perform preventative maintenance on air handlers, chillers, boilers and related equipment, and collaborate with engineers to keep systems running at peak performance.

The role requires an EPA 608 Universal certificate, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1+ years of hands-on HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical experience,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• EPA 608 Universal certificate.
• 1+ years of professional experience working with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment on facilities systems including air handlers, chilled water, condenser pumps, cooling towers, valves, filters, boilers.
• Complete preventative maintenance schedule on facility and launch associated HVAC systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and managers to maintain systems in peak operating condition.
• Follow all regulations and appropriate SpaceX procedures including safety policies and standards.
• Perform ductwork modifications and various repairs.
• Perform brazing, soldering, evacuation & charging of various refrigerants.
• Perform water piping and insulation modifications and repairs.
• Assist with maintenance of compressed air and industrial door systems.

Education

High school diploma or equivalency certificate

Associate degree in HVAC technology
