Job summary

Parker Hannifin’s Parker Aerospace division in Simi Valley, CA, seeks an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for production equipment and facility systems. You’ll lead the maintenance team, set priorities, and ensure safe, reliable operations in a high-demand aerospace environment.

Responsibilities include staff leadership, training, safety adherence, and rigorous recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Technical certificates in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs the Equipment Maintenance team to obtain optimum productivity.
• Applies expertise in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing related equipment.
• Ensures general safety, compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures.
• Maintains necessary records/documents of maintenance work performed.
• Ensures staff are in compliance with safety regulations; including proper use of tools, equipment and hazardous materials.
• Uses good judgment and negotiating skills when dealing with difficult or sensitive situations.
• Supports the Facilities Function as needed.
• Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs.
• Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• The primary duties of this job require management of business or departments, supervising 2 or more full-time employees (or equivalent).
• Responsibilities include hiring and firing subordinate employees, interviewing, selecting, and training employees; setting and adjusting rates of pay and hours of work; directing employees’ work; maintaining production records for use in supervision; appraising employees’ productivity and efficiency for recommending promotions or other changes in status; handling employee complaints and grievances; disciplining employees; assigning work among employees; and providing for the safety and security of the employees.
