Janicki Industries, a private aerospace machining company with a Layton, Utah facility, seeks engineering interns to work onsite in Layton, UT. Projects span production, design, and commissioning under mentor guidance, across multiple departments and teams.

The role emphasizes teamwork with technicians, millwrights, machinists, and engineers, with opportunities to participate in diverse, high-precision manufacturing for aerospace and space exploration markets.

Formación

• Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university degree engineering program
• Must be able to work well in an integrated, multidisciplinary, collaborative, team environment
• Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to multi-task
• Must be able to work well independently and under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
• Must possess effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
• Previous internship experience preferred
• Preference for candidates at junior or senior standing
• US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident status per 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3) for ITAR/EAR compliance

Responsabilidades

• Apply knowledge of basic engineering principles to solve complex technical problems within a team of engineers
• Manage small projects from preliminary design through detail engineering, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning in production
• Work independently with strong organization and clerical discipline
• Communicate effectively and appropriately to stakeholders with the right tone and audience
• Initiate improvements and take on increasing responsibility or resolve problems as they occur
• Complete assignments given by the mentor
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain good attendance as an essential function of employment
