Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Courtland, AL is seeking an Engineering Aide Spec to join the Production Operations (Prod Ops) team. The role supports Thermal Protection System applications, electro/mech structure assembly, integration and test (AI&T) operations. Work Schedule: 4x10 (Mon-Thurs) Shift: 1st Shift (6:00AM - 4:30PM).

The position may require travel and support to other manufacturing operations. You will help interpret drawings, prepare instructions, and drive milestones, cost, and safety

Qualifications

• Interim Secret clearance required prior to start with ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and define manufacturing steps.
• Ability to decipher and follow engineering specifications.
• Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions.
• General computer skills (i.e. MS Office Suite).

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineer drawings and create work instructions for technicians to support product build.
• Support shop floor technicians in fast passed and dynamic processing environment.
• Resolve work stoppages through equipment support, continuous improvement initiatives, defect disposition, and root cause analysis.
• Create and manage relationships with a multi disciplined team.
• Conceptualize assembly using strong mechanical aptitudes, understanding of material properties, heat transfer, and structural properties.
• Lead the technical team daily to meet engineering requirements, schedule and cost commitments, and provide production status to leadership.
