Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Florida is seeking an Engineering Aide to provide technical support to engineers and produce engineering documentation, drawings, and reports. You will gather and manipulate technical data, review designs, and assist in process improvements on the shop floor.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, familiarity with harnesses, and IPC/WHMA/J-STD‑001 training. A collaborative, detail‑oriented mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and interpret design specifications for manufacturing.
• Familiarity with cable and/or harness production and analyzing electrical/mechanical schematics.
• IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 and J‑STD‑001 trained and/or certified.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on gathering and manipulating technical data and design changes.
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, schematics), and machine operation procedures.
• Act as liaison between Manufacturing Engineers and production teams to resolve issues on the floor.
• Review and adjudicate EODIs and floor support requests with the assembly team.
• Update assembly work instructions based on drawings/models before release to floor.
• Input ME-provided data to tools for planning, routing, work instruction generation, status reporting and issue resolution.
• Engage in PMT activities and implement lean principles for process improvements.
• Maintain and control shop aids and machines used in assembly areas.
