Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced aerospace mechanic (A&P) to perform assembly, disassembly and inspection of gas turbine engines and related modules in a production, experimental or overhaul environment. You will follow detailed work instructions, set up tooling, and verify dimensions using precision gauges.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, formal A&P training, and 5+ years of heavy automotive experience or an A&P license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal A&P training or similar certification.
• 5+ years of heavy automotive experience or equivalent A&P licensing and training.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to select, set up and use hand, power, and specialized tooling for assembly/disassembly.
• Perform static balance operations on rotating engine parts per procedures.
• Use precision gauges to verify dimensions and adjust tools to meet specs.
• Visually inspect parts, subassemblies and engine sections for proper condition and identification.
• Record build data on engine history records or computer systems.
• Assist with engineering changes and resolve tooling problems in a proactive manner.
• Coordinate parts through overhaul or repair operations and report nonconformances.
• May be assigned tasks beyond listed duties to support objectives and skills development.
