Job summary

RTX, including Pratt & Whitney, seeks an experienced aerospace mechanic to assemble, disassemble, and overhaul gas turbine engines and modules at our Middletown, CT facility. You will follow engineering instructions, perform precision measurements, and ensure accurate documentation in engine history records.

The role requires an A&P license or equivalent training, or extensive heavy automotive experience, and offers on-site work with competitive benefits and potential incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with A&P training or 4+ years of technical high school plus post-high school certification and 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to select and use hand, power, and assembly tools for engine components.
• Set up and perform static balance operations on rotating engine parts as required.
• Inspect parts and records, ensuring correct identification and complete data entry.
• Assist on co-producer, customer support and retrofit projects to address engineering changes.
• Coordinate parts through overhaul or repair operations and report nonconformities.
