Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced aerospace mechanic to join Pratt & Whitney's team in Middletown, CT, on the 2nd shift. You will follow assembly drawings and specifications to build engine sections and subassemblies for gas turbine engines.

Responsibilities include overhauling engines, verifying parts conformance, using hand tools and fixtures, and supporting test operations under supervision. A&P license or equivalent training and 5+ years of heavy automotive or aerospace experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with A&P license or 5+ years heavy automotive experience.
• 5+ years heavy automotive experience.
• 3+ years avionics mechanic experience.
• Experience as an aerospace/A&P mechanic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembles parts and builds subassemblies for gas turbine engines according to drawings and specs.
• Overhauls engines, modules and components per procedures.
• Obtains parts, verifies conformance to specs, measures dimensions.
• Uses hand tools and fixtures to assemble engine sections and maintain tooling.
• Supports test operations and assists with testing under supervision.
• Assists with co-producer, customer support or retrofit projects and new engine programs.
