Job summary

Triumph Group in West Hartford, CT is seeking a Test Engineering Technician-Electronics to support testing of electronic engine control units for aerospace applications. You will work with manufacturing and engineering test equipment, developing hardware/software test solutions and documenting results.

The role requires at least 5 years in aerospace electronics, a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field, and hands-on experience with LabVIEW, VB, and C++.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years aerospace electronics experience including systems and board-level troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or systems engineering.
• Experience with electronic manufacturing processes and automated test systems.
• Significant experience implementing complex test and development procedures.
• Ability to design creative electronic hardware/software solutions.
• Familiar with MIL-STD 810, MIL-STD 461 and DO-160 specs.
• Must read and understand PCB schematics.

Responsibilities

• Manage Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) build projects from conception through implementation.
• Drive efficiency improvements in manufacturing processes.
• Support engineers in design of hardware/software test solutions.
• Write test plans, procedures, and reports per industry standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation including schematics and software docs.
• Maintain and improve existing test systems and provide product line support.
