Job summary

MDS Staffing seeks an Electronics Technician – Prototype PCB & Aerospace Systems for a direct‑hire role in the Greater Milwaukee / NE WI corridor. The candidate will perform high‑reliability soldering and micro‑assembly, read complex schematics, and troubleshoot down to the component level for prototype and production units.

The position requires an Associate Degree in Electronics Technology (or 10+ years of direct trades experience in lieu of a degree), US work authorization, and local

Qualifications

• Experience with high‑reliability PCB assembly and precision soldering.
• Ability to read multi‑page electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proven diagnostic capability to isolate faults without extensive oversight.

Responsibilities

• Execute high‑reliability assembly including precision soldering and micro‑assembly of multi‑layer PCBs.
• Diagnose hardware deviations and repair circuit faults using test equipment.
• Support engineering design through board layout reviews and prototype validation.
• Assist with BOM management and vendor specification tracking for active builds.
• Maintain and update technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Ensure AS9100 compliance through documentation and quality processes.
