Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on Electrical Integration within the main cabin seating team. The role designs major components, develops data, and controls manufacturing processes, while evaluating materials and supplier inputs for cost and performance.

The candidate will integrate electrical components, verify designs through testing, and work across engineering, certification, and supplier teams to ensure FAA compliance and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Integrate electrical components and wiring into design meeting vendor and OEM requirements.
• Liaise between electrical integration team, certification, design engineering, vendors and project teams.
• Prepare work statements for electrical integration team.
• Direct outsource resources on projects in electrical integration areas.
• Verify system configuration and block diagrams.
• Prepare, modify and release CAD drawings (NX) to verify fit, form and function of designs.
