Job summary
Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the Electrical Design team for Commercial Aircraft in East Aurora, NY. This onsite role requires directing resources, driving EVMS-based performance, and maturing design processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
You will manage a multi-disciplinary staff across programs, ensure compliance with aerospace standards, and travel 10–15% as needed. U.S.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of professional Electrical Engineering work experience
- US Citizens only due to federal contract obligations
- Managerial experience supervising a team of Engineers
- 10+ years of Electrical Design Engineering experience
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels within Moog and with customers/vendors
Responsibilities
- Lead the technology development of a multi-disciplinary engineering staff across concurrent programs
- Manage resource allocation and supervision to meet EVMS schedules
- Analyze and communicate design process performance using EVMS methods
- Lead design process development: standards, templates, specifications, automation
- Drive strategy for commercial obsolescence refresh of electronics
- Travel 10-15% domestically and internationally
