Actalent in Plainview, NY is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing aerospace and defense team. You will design electrical systems, develop hardware, and support the full lifecycle from concept through production.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in aerospace/defense, strong schematic capture and component selection skills, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional work with mechanical, software, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5+ years of electrical design experience in an aerospace/defense or other highly regulated engineering environment.
• Experience with schematic capture, circuit design, and electronic component selection.
• Experience supporting products from concept through testing and production.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Design electrical systems, components, and assemblies based on customer and engineering requirements.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support PCB design, hardware development, and system integration activities.
• Select electronic components and develop electrical architectures.
• Perform testing, verification, and root cause analysis.
