Job summary

Kearfott Corporation seeks an Electrical/Components Engineer to manage electronics components for aerospace and defense projects. You will review part requirements, analyze from a reliability perspective, and support cross‑functional teams across design, manufacturing and testing.

The role emphasizes part selection, datasheet analysis, and running CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, Matlab) while adhering to standards. US citizenship is required and a strong background in electronics is essential.

Qualifications

BS Electrical Engineering or other applicable field.
3–5 years aerospace/defense experience preferred.
Experience with SiliconExpert is required.
Proficiency with SVN, SharePoint and cloud-based interfaces.
Ability to apply formal document release and revision control processes.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
New product development experience.
US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Support electrical/electronic design activities including component selection for performance, materials and cost.
Perform obsolescence management with alternate part recommendations.
Interface with manufacturers to verify part numbers and sources.
Develop and maintain electronic component databases.
Apply analysis of datasheets for suitability in applications.
Perform reliability analysis and stress assessment using CAE tools.
Follow internal standards and government requirements.
Support production, manufacturing and product improvement initiatives.
