Job summary

Kearfott Corporation, a legacy aerospace and defense supplier, seeks a Technician to assemble, calibrate, test and repair electro-mechanical systems. The role includes wiring interpretation, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with quality, planning, engineering and production teams in New Jersey.

The candidate will build circuit cards, maintain records, and participate in continuous improvement while adhering to IPC standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Solder according to IPC J-STD-001 requirements.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, a microscope, and test equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, calibrates, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electro-mechanical systems and components.
• Builds circuit cards and tests cables from prints and work instructions.
• Maintains records, work status and supply inventory.
• Interacts with quality, material, planning, engineering and production.
• Participates in team continuous improvement activities.
• Data entry in IFS for operations performed.
• Cross-trains within the department as required.
• Provides parts lists to planners for system builds.
