Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking an EDM Machine Operator for the 4th shift to set up, operate, and maintain EDM equipment used to manufacture precision aerospace components. You will verify part quality, troubleshoot production issues, and support continuous improvement while upholding safety and productivity standards.

The role offers a 4th shift schedule (Fri-Sun, 5:00a–5:00p) with a $3 per hour shift differential and a comprehensive Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with EDM setup, CNC operation, or program editing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret operation sheets, blueprints, and mil-spec documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Strong math, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot setup and machining issues independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC EDM equipment and related machining systems.
• Perform EDM operations per engineering specs and work instructions.
• Read operation sheets, routers, blueprints, and in-process docs.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools for quality compliance.
• Troubleshoot minor setup, machining, and program issues.
• Support TPM activities and routine equipment maintenance.
• Follow CTQ requirements and quality procedures.
• Support new program development and process improvement.
• Perform manual machining as needed.
• Maintain production standards, quality, and accurate documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety standards.
