Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Chemical Process Operator (Heat Treat) to operate vacuum and partial pressure furnaces that process aerospace components. You will ensure parts meet precise customer specifications while maintaining equipment performance and process compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and technical documentation.
• Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum and partial pressure heat treatment furnaces to process aerospace components.
• Load and unload furnaces safely and efficiently.
• Select, verify, and run heat treat programs using furnace control software.
• Program load parameters and monitor furnace cycles from start to finish.
• Review and print process charts and documentation for completed heat treatment cycles.
• Submit required test materials to support process approvals and quality requirements.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs.
• Coordinate and support scheduled equipment maintenance and calibration activities.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and downtime records.
• Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and housekeeping initiatives within the department.
