Job summary

ATI is a global manufacturer of technically advanced specialty materials and complex components. Our Irvine, CA location plays a vital role in our Forged Products division by producing jet engine components for aerospace customers.

We are seeking a forging technician to assist press operators and support the forging process for high-performance materials used in jet engine components for the aerospace industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read, comprehend and execute written instructions.
• Heavy lifting and safe work practices.
• Preferred: experience in a related field, quality assurance, mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Preparing metal stock for forging, positioning hot stock on hot dies, and extracting forgings.
• Completing quality assurance and part tracking documentation.
• Preparing thermocouple wiring.
• Operating a forklift following safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
