Job summary

ATI in Irvine, CA is seeking a forging technician to support press operators in the forging of high‑performance materials used in jet engine components for aerospace. The role requires teamwork, safety, and precise execution of written work instructions.

The position offers a base pay with total rewards and a weekend shift. Training will be provided for motivated entry level candidates, with opportunities in a dynamic manufacturing environment in the Forged Products division.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions.
• Heavy lifting.
• Dedication to safe work practices.
• Forklift experience (preferred).
• Quality assurance experience (preferred).
• Mechanically inclined (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Preparing metal stock for forging, positioning hot metal stock on hot dies, and extracting hot forgings from dies.
• Completing quality assurance and part tracking documentation.
• Preparing thermocouple wiring.
• Operating a forklift following safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
