Job summary

ATI in Irvine, CA is seeking a forging technician to support the forging process of jet engine components for aerospace customers. This role assists press operators by performing a variety of tasks and requires a continuous improvement mindset and precise execution of written work instructions.

A successful candidate will collaborate with the team, demonstrate strong communication, and be capable of lifting heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Preparing metal stock for forging, positioning hot metal stock on hot dies, and extracting hot forgings from dies.
• Completing quality assurance and part tracking documentation.
• Preparing thermocouple wiring.
• Operating a forklift following safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
