Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) is seeking a Development Engineer to support product development in Simsbury, CT. The role includes building technical data packages, creating 3D models, and performing design studies.

You will interact with customers and suppliers, participate in design reviews, ensure documentation quality, and help drive successful project outcomes for defense-related programs.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in engineering or related field.
• Experience leading technical teams and projects.
• Experience generating 3D models and 2D drawings (SolidWorks preferred).
• Ability to apply customer requirements and government/military specs to design.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the technical data package.
• Create 3D conceptual models and 2D drawings.
• Perform design trade studies and hand calculations.
• Interact with customers on design, interface and functional details.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure prototype parts for risk reduction testing.
• Facilitate internal and customer design reviews and document results.
