Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) seeks a Development Engineer to lead technical aspects of projects from concept to production. You will create 3D models, perform GD&T-driven analyses, and coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure design fidelity and production readiness.

The role requires a BS/MS in engineering with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

Requires BS/MS in engineering and experience in project, design or related engineering.
Demonstrated ability to generate 3D models and 2D drawings; SolidWorks preferred.
Apply GD&T and understand its impact on part cost.
Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills for interactions with management and customers.

Responsibilities

Act as technical lead on internal and external projects from concept through development, qualification and production.
Develop and maintain the technical data package, product testing requirements and methods.
Create 3D conceptual models to meet customer design requirements.
Perform design trade studies and hand calculations.
Conduct tolerance studies to ensure design fidelity.
Interact with customers on design, interface and functional details.
Coordinate with suppliers to rapid prototype parts for risk reduction testing.
Generate requirements and ensure flow down.
Manage technical risk assessment and project scope.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure production viability and documentation approval.
