Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBAD) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Manager in Simsbury, CT. You will lead the mechanical design organization across two sites, driving production-ready designs with robust specs and DfX practices.

You will guide teams through concept to production, balance manufacturability and reliability, and collaborate with operations, supply chain, and customers to optimize performance and costs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive mechanical engineering and product-development experience.
• Proven people leadership with ability to build team capability and succession.

Aufgaben

• Lead and grow EBAD's Mechanical Design Organization across sites and programs.
• Integrate Simsbury and Moorpark teams under a common operating model.
• Establish standards, reviews, and release-readiness practices to improve quality and speed.
• Strengthen Design for X practices balancing manufacturability, cost, safety, and reliability.
• Collaborate across Program Management, Operations, and customers to align design decisions with technical performance and costs.
• Drive rapid prototyping capabilities and enable early validation from concept through production.
