Superior Air Parts seeks a Mechanical/Aerospace Design Engineer to support the full life cycle of piston-engine component development—from design and analysis through testing, FAA certification, and production. You will work within FAA regulatory requirements and collaborate with DERs, Manufacturing, Quality, and cross-functional teams.

This role emphasizes hands-on engine work, 3D CAD modeling, FEA, and documentation, and requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum GPA 3.0.
• Experience with piston-engine design and operation.
• Experience creating or working with 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• US work authorization.

Mansioni

• Support the design, development, testing, certification, and production of reciprocating aircraft-engine components.
• Work with crankcases, cylinders, crankshafts, and valve trains.
• Create, evaluate, revise, and maintain 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to support design decisions.
• Assist with aircraft piston-engine testing and analyze performance data.
• Prepare FAA certification documentation and engineering reports.
• Participate in engine assembly, teardown, and component inspections.
• Collaborate with DERs, Manufacturing, and Quality throughout product development.
• Provide engineering support for production activities.
• Follow FAA regulatory requirements and company policies.
