Piper Aircraft in the United States is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Structural Design to lead design engineers and cross-functional teams in creating new and modified airframe components, assemblies, and installations.

You will produce layouts and detailed drawings using Unigraphics CAD and ensure FAA certification alignment. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with extensive general aviation experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with stress

Competenze

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace) or equivalent.
Minimum seven years related general aviation experience.
Knowledge of aircraft design, approval, manufacturing, and certification processes; familiarity with GD&T.

Mansioni

Direct the activities of design engineers and cross-functional team members in the creation of new and modified designs that meet FAA certification and company requirements.
Design airframe components, assemblies, and installations.
Lead and direct engineering and design personnel in the creation of new and modified designs.
Coordinate design work with stress analysts, aerodynamics, manufacturing, and supply management.
Review and validate installations and components through simulation, analysis, and test data interpretation.
Provide technical support for Legal, Marketing and Sales, and Customer Service departments.
Travel and overtime are required when necessary.
