Job summary

Avion Solutions Inc. seeks a Design Drafter to support the Army Maneuver Air Directorate Readiness Engineering Division in Corpus Christi, TX. The role emphasizes creating precise 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical graphics for repair engineering programs.

You will collaborate with engineers, programs staff, and management, and work through end-to-end digital-to-physical workflows, including scanning, modeling, and data package generation. In-person, Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• Three+ years hands-on experience with 3D scanning/metrology for inspection and reverse engineering.
• Experience in reverse engineering—converting scan data to 3D CAD models.
• Additive manufacturing experience (3D printing and slicing).
• Repair development, prototyping, and technical data package generation.
• SolidWorks proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support repair engineering and technology evaluation efforts using advanced metrology and additive manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, analysts, and management.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices to improve processes.
• Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Create graphics for technical publications.
• Follow end-to-end workflows from 3D scanning to data package generation.
