Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field.
• 2+ years of drafting experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software: SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
• Working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Familiarity with FAA/EASA/military or customer documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models of aircraft components and assemblies.
• Prepare manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings per ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Develop and maintain BOMs, parts lists, and drawing revisions.
• Produce layouts, exploded views, wiring routing, and assembly instructions.
• Support design and integration of ECS, vapor cycle air conditioning systems, and electrical/mechanical assemblies.
• Ensure documentation complies with FAA, EASA, military, and customer requirements.
• Assist with reverse engineering, first article development, testing, and certification.
• Verify drawing accuracy through design reviews and checks.
