Job summary

Akima Mission Optimization (AMO) is seeking a CAD Drafter to create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for ACV integration. You will support Systems Engineering Reviews and advise on CAD data configuration management and BOM structure. This role involves working with TDPs, ECPs, and complex vehicle system assemblies.

The ideal candidate has extensive AutoCAD experience, strong drafting skills, and knowledge of MIL-STD-31000/ASME Y14.100. On-site work in SC supporting DoD programs is included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years drafting/illustrating with degree or 5+ years with HS/GED
• Interim Secret Clearance required; active DoD Secret preferred
• Experience creating 3D models and 2D drawings of components to complex assemblies
• Experience with Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and standards MIL-STD-31000/ASME Y14.100

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain system-level 3D models of ACV components and systems
• Create and maintain 2D drawings from 3D models adhering to standards
• Assist in development of inputs/products for Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR)
• Advise on configuration management of CAD data and documentation
• Advise on BOM/kit structure for manufacturing and integration
• Develop Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
• Maintain CAD-based bills of material for entire vehicle systems
