Job summary

Avion Solutions Inc. seeks a Design Drafter to support the Army Maneuver Air Directorate Readiness Engineering Division, located in Corpus Christi, TX. The role involves creating 3D models and 2D drawings, supporting repair engineering, and contributing to technical publications.

The candidate will work in a team with engineers and analysts, follow digital-to-physical workflows, and travel up to 15% as needed; in-person, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Three years of hands-on experience with 3D scanning/modeling/metrology for inspection and reverse engineering.
• Reverse engineering from scan data to 3D CAD models.
• Additive manufacturing including 3D printing and slicing software.
• Repair development, prototyping, and technical data package generation.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Support repair engineering and technology evaluation Lab repair development and reverse engineering efforts using metrology and additive manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, analysts, and management in a team environment.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies to improve development processes.
• Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Create graphics for technical publications.
• Follow end-to-end digital-to-physical workflows from 3D scanning to data package generation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• In-person, 8 hours/day, Monday-Friday.
