Job summary

Adecco Portugal is partnering with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer to hire a Business Development Manager. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and defense contractors, while building strategic relationships and aligning technical solutions with customer requirements.

You will lead proposals, bid strategies, and contract negotiations, analyze propulsion market trends, and represent the company at industry events.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of business development experience in aerospace/defense (ideally propulsion, power, or electrical systems).
Strong technical and commercial background.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Must be a U.S. Person (due to ITAR compliance).

Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and defense contractors.
Build and maintain strategic relationships within the aerospace and defense ecosystem.
Work closely with engineering teams to align technical solutions with customer requirements.
Lead proposal development, bid strategies, and contract negotiations.
Analyze trends in the electric propulsion market and competitor activity.
Represent the company at customer meetings, tradeshows, and industry events.
Monitor KPIs and report on revenue and growth objectives.
