Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking a Deburrer for the 1st shift at our Charleston, SC facility. Core hours are 7am - 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. The position offers an hourly rate of $19.50, with salaries based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities include deburring complex parts, visually inspecting for defects, training junior staff, and maintaining productivity and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• This position requires access to export-controlled information.
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of N. Charleston, SC facility (29418).
• Minimum of 1 year of prior work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive manual deburring and polishing while ensuring quality compliance.
• Rework parts damaged during manufacturing processes.
• Follow the control or process plan to choose deburr tools.
• Read and follow process sketches or control plans.
• Deburr areas such as tops of bores, O.D. edges, slots, and oil holes.
• Inspect parts for finish and flatness; set up and operate coining and drill presses.
• Identify defects and report issues to supervision.
• Perform precision deburr inside parts and assist with assembly operations.
• Maintain productivity and safety standards.
