Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification is required.

• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and measuring equipment.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of welds and welding-related activities before, during, and after fabrication.
• Verify compliance with codes, standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Inspect base materials, joint preparation, fit-up, welding processes, and completed welds.
• Identify, document, and report weld nonconformances; verify corrective actions.
• Review, verify, and maintain WPS, PQR, and WPQ.
• Maintain inspection reports, weld records, and material traceability.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections.
• Serve as a technical resource to welding, production, engineering, and quality personnel.
• Train and mentor welders on procedures, best practices, and quality requirements.
• Participate in root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement.
• Promote safety and welding best practices per codes.
