Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a valve production technician to assemble, test, and repair hydraulic and cryogenic valve systems for spaceflight applications. You will work with a team of specialists in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.

Responsibilities include supporting engineers, updating work instructions, and maintaining inventory for valve systems, with a shift Fri-Sun (5am-5:30pm) and relocation provided where applicable.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in aerospace, aircraft, R&D or related field.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and use lifting equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
  • Flexible schedule: M-TH or Fri-Sun shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and drive to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate, test, functionally verify, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatically actuated cryogenic valves, systems and components.
  • Perform intermediate and/or depot level component maintenance, inspection, and repair.
  • Assist engineers in reviewing and developing design concepts, tooling, test hardware and providing feedback for improvements.
  • Follow, review, improve and provide feedback on work instructions for complex mechanical systems and installations.
  • Safely work with chemical and/or high-pressure hazardous systems.
  • Ensure tasks are performed on schedule, safely and in a professional manner.
  • Rapidly adapt to changing roles while working in a high-paced environment.
  • Show innovation and accountability in process and operations improvements.
