Ideal candidates have strong foundations in aerospace control theory or propulsion analysis and will work with a multi-disciplinary team across propulsion, avionics, software, and test engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of controls, GNC, propulsion analysis, simulation, or related aerospace experience.
• Graduate degree with 6+ years in same areas; equivalent experience may substitute.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 8 years of relevant technical experience in controls, GNC, propulsion analysis, simulation, or related aerospace systems work.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and evaluate control algorithms for solid rocket motor throttling and related actuation systems.
• Model propulsion dynamics and assess steady-state and transient behavior.
• Develop dynamic models and simulations for aerospace control systems.
• Create tools in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ for analysis and control development.
• Contribute to system, subsystem, and component requirements and collaborate across teams.
• Support ground and system test activities and document results.
• Travel up to 10% and pursue security clearance as needed.
