Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Contracts Manager for our US regional operations. The role partners with legal, finance, procurement and engineering to streamline contract workflows, manage risk, and oversee bid, capture and negotiation processes across multi-year contracts.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in business or related field, 6–8 years in aerospace/defense contracts, and a Secret clearance (TS preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in aerospace/defense/government contracting environment
• Presently hold a Secret level Security Clearance (Top Secret preferred)
• FAR/DFAR knowledge; OTA knowledge, working knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations
• Broad experience with a variety of contract types: firm fixed price, cost-type, commercial/non-commercial, production, development, and sustainment

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations, the Contracts team and other functions on bid and proposal preparation, contract negotiation, review and administration for products/services
• Perform contract management throughout the contract lifecycle including proposal review, negotiations, changes, modifications, and close-outs
• Draft and negotiate NDAs, Sales/Purchase Agreements, Subcontracts, Licensing and Master Agreements
• Ensure agreements comply with regulations and company policies
• Review contract terms, identify unfavorable clauses, and prepare revisions and risk reviews for management
• Monitor performance of long-term contracts and summarize obligations for internal stakeholders
• Coordinate flow-downs of terms with program management, engineering, finance, and other functions
• Liaise with DCMA and other audit agencies; may be primary contact for audits
• Maintain accurate contract files and data in business systems; prepare reports for status reviews
• Other duties as assigned
