Job summary

Blue Origin Space Coast, FL is seeking a skilled Composites Technician to own composite manufacturing from layup through assembly and integration. You will set up production areas, operate precision equipment, and lead continuous improvement to support safe, efficient spaceflight operations.

The role requires experience in aerospace/composites, strong tooling proficiency, and collaborative problem solving within cross‑functional teams. Relocation is not available; multiple shifts are listed.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or composite fabrication/assembly (0–3 years Level I, 3+ Level II, 5+ Level III, 8+ Sr).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Proficiency with precision calibration tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, optical instruments).
• Hands-on experience with adhesives, sealants, paints, primers, and thermal blankets in composites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production work areas with tooling and equipment for efficient workflow in high-rate composite manufacturing.
• Perform layup, bagging, curing, trimming, drilling, and assembly of composite components per blueprints and specs.
• Integrate composite hardware into vehicles and subsystems ensuring fit, finish, and integrity throughout the lifecycle.
