Job summary

Robertson Fuel Systems in Utah is seeking a Composite Technician I-V to perform lay-up, trimming, bonding, and repair of aerospace composite parts. You will read drawings, follow work orders, and ensure tolerances while handling resins and core materials.

The role offers a 4x10 schedule with Fridays off, competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for training. Safety, quality, and collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams are key to success.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with basic shop tools and equipment used in composite lay-up and assembly.
• Familiar with concepts, practices and procedures in the aircraft composite field.
• Forklift certification or ability to become forklift certified.
• Understand manufacturing orders, blueprints and process specifications for quality.
• Able to present information clearly and respond to questions from colleagues.
• Basic computer knowledge for composite lay-ups and assembly.
• Mathematical understanding aligned with education requirements.
• Read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.
• Team oriented with strong customer service and company culture awareness.

Responsibilities

• Reads and understands drawings, work orders, work instructions, and manufacturing orders.
• Weighs resins and adhesives with traceability to lot numbers.
• Marks and cuts woven material, tape materials and core materials per templates.
• Smooths layers to required thickness free from wrinkles and air pockets.
• Demonstrates proper vacuum bagging and leak-check methods.
• Routes, drills, trims, and sands to drawing dimensions and tolerances.
• Performs filling and fairing with contour fillers using hand/power sanders.
• Records steps with lot numbers and expiration dates for traceability.
• Interacts with Quality and Supply Chain as required.
• Adheres to Export Control, TCP, and company policies.
